That 10-minute sort is legit — I lay parcels in three spots: first 5 stops on the door side, same-building bundles with a sticky of gate/elevator codes, and outliers in the back, with labels facing up so I’m not spinning boxes at the door. I also pre-call any gated communities while idling at the depot so the codes are fresh, which saves two or three hold-ups later. It’s Tetris before the clock starts, and it buys me close to an hour on heavy apartment days.

Quick example: while scanning, I tag same-building bundles with a tiny sticky for unit/floor and snap a photo of the stack so I can toss the paper but still see codes later — saves me from playing parcel Jenga. Small caveat: if dispatch reshuffles, I keep a little ‘wildcard’ tote by my seat for out-of-order or signature-required packages so the system doesn’t fall apart.

I do a quick ‘10-minute sort,’ then voice-note gate codes; rainy days, I group covered stops first.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

I park smarter: I drop a quick ‘P’ pin in Google Maps for the block, park once, and walk the next 3–4 drops; that tiny setup often ‘saves an hour’ on dense routes. Only caveat: if I’ve got bulky stuff or strict no-standing, I skip it and keep rolling.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

I preset apartment gates and lockers as Waze ‘Favorites’; cuts detours, truly ‘saves an hour’ — except stadium days.
