I do deliveries around my 9–5 because the flexible hours let me stack runs after kid bedtime, but every “required” course I find is a 2 p.m. webinar — last night I was idling outside Thai Garden at 9:40 trying to cram a safety module that timed out mid-ping. Flexibility is the only reason this side gig works; anyone have legit, self-paced audio or micro-lesson options (bonus if insurer-recognized) we can knock out between orders?
edApp by SafetyCulture has quick, self‑paced safety micro-lessons that fit between pickups, and when a course doesn’t have audio I turn on iPhone “Speak Screen” so it reads the page while I’m parked — podcast mode; here’s the toggle: Take great photos and videos - Apple Support. It won’t help with modules that hard-timeout, but it beats the 2 p.m. webinars.
“It won’t help with modules that hard-timeout, but it beats the 2 p.m. webinars.” Totally — I save the module pages to Pocket (getpocket.com) and use its Listen feature between runs, then finish the clicks/quiz at home; if it’s vendor-locked I ask support to enable a narrated mobile view or extend the timeout.
Same boat with that 9:40 outside Thai Garden scramble — I ‘print’ locked modules to PDF from the iPhone share sheet (Share > Print > pinch out), then let Voice Dream Reader play them while I wait https://www.voicedream.com. Doesn’t fix hard-timed quizzes, but it gets the content done between runs so I only submit at home on Wi‑Fi. On Android, Chrome’s “Read Aloud/Read It” on saved PDFs works similarly.
