Quick rider check-in that helps ratings

I’ve been opening every trip with a 10-second check — music, temp, route, charger — since a bumpy downtown run at 11 pm last week, and conversations are easier and ratings steadier. Anyone else have a go-to line that sets expectations without feeling scripted?

I totally get where you’re coming from. I usually kick things off with a quick, ‘Hey, how’s your night going? Just want to make sure you’re comfortable.’ It breaks the ice without feeling forced. I’m curious, do you find music helps set the mood for the ride?

Starting with a simple, ‘How’s it going?’ can set a relaxed tone… I’ve found that checking the temp might not always be necessary — some riders love it chilly. Have you tried switching up that opener for different times, like day vs. night?
