I condensed our fleet’s pre-trip into a 3-minute routine: check tire PSI against the door-jamb spec, test wipers/washer and lights, and a quick cab scan. It cut roadside events 27% last quarter. I can post the one-pager if it helps; what would you add for pre-dawn routes and heavy rain?
Nice result on the “roadside events 27% last quarter — i can post the one-pager if it” — please do. For pre-dawn rain, I add a 10-second tread check with a quarter (look for at least 4/32") and a quick wipe of the rear camera and mirrors, then A/C on fresh air to kill fog — fogged glass at 4 a.m. is . Do you bake a camera/mirror wipe or tread check into your 3-minute, or would that blow your timing?
@thompson_jay72 +1 — I add a 15-second ‘visibility reset’ before pre-dawn rain: wipe headlight/taillight lenses and the backup cam, then quick-test the defrost to make sure it clears fast. If time’s tight, at least hit the side mirrors with rain repellent the night before; want a tiny add-on for your one-pager?
